Farewell Harim!

February 9, 2010 · Leave a Comment

I caught up with Harim before she left us here at GV Byron….

Please tell us a little bit about yourself and where you are from…

My name is Harim. I am from South Korea from a place called Daejeon. When I was in Korea I studied at University for a few years. My major was in Aircraft Cabin service, which I really enjoyed.

What did you do back at home and what made you decide to come to Australia?

I spoke to quite a few of my friends and one friend of mine really recommended Byron Bay. They told me that it was a beautiful place. I looked it up on google and saw the lighthouse and all the beautiful beaches and thought, “that’s the place for me!!”

How long have you been at GV Byron and what are you studying?

I have been studying here for 4 months and am halfway through the Intermediate level.

What do you plan to do when you have completed your studies with us?

I leave Bryon on Sunday and then I’m going up to Noosa, to go to GV up there. I have loved being in Byron, and the four months has gone past really quickly, but I want to experience different things and see some other parts of Australia, which is why I’m going to Noosa.

What has been the single best moment that you have experienced since you joined GV Byron?

I have made lots of very kind friends. The teachers are nice and I have learnt a lot.

What is your favourite place in Byron?

The beach of course.

Is there anything you’d like to add??

Byron is a beautiful place with low buildings and not too many people. It is very friendly, quiet, nice and beautiful. I recommend it to everyone!

Ciao Federica!

January 22, 2010 · 1 Comment

Federica Roganti from Italy has just completed her studies here at GV Byron Bay and is about to head off on her travels up the East Coast of Australia. Before she leaves, though, she shares her thoughts on her time in Byron Bay with us.

Federica is off on her travels

“I chose to study at GV Byron Bay because it’s a small town with not too many other Italian students, which means I have to speak English all the time. Although I studied grammar back in Rome, when I arrived in Australia I really couldn’t speak much at all. Now I really feel that I have improved my speaking a great deal.

I’ve been lucky to have Angie as my teacher as she is great and has helped me a lot. Our lessons are never boring and I have a fun group of classmates from all over the world, including Brazil, Korea, Spain, Switzerland and Japan.

Since I arrived in Byron Bay I’ve been living in the Comet Close student house, which is about a 5 minute walk from GV. My housemates are all cool people and we have a great social life. Getting into town at night is easy and the nightlife is amazing, especially over the Christmas and New Year holidays when there are lots of people in town.

Byron Bay is such a beautiful place with great beaches, good surf and friendly local people. I have made so many friends here that it will be hard to leave.

Now that I have finished my course I am planning to explore the East Coast of Australia and will be heading up to Noosa, Fraser Island, the Whitsundays and Cairns.

After the great time I’ve had at GV Byron Bay, my advice to other students thinking of coming here is simple: “Just go for it!”

We’ll all miss you, Federica, have a safe trip and keep in touch!

Australian slang tips with Mariana

January 20, 2010 · Leave a Comment

Are you always curious about some of the slang that Australians use? The Director of Studies at GV Brisbane, Mariana, has provided some helpful information this week on Australian slang.

GV Brisbane's Director of Studies, Mariana, with Edson from Brazil

Australian English is an accent that is full of lively colourful phrases. Some of the words and expressions used are taken from British slang (very informal vocabulary items).

Some words have a completely different meaning in Australia than they do in other English-speaking countries. Other words are indigenous to Australia and derived from Aboriginal terms, such as ‘boomerang’ and ‘kangaroo’. But the most characteristic aspect of the Australian accent is that common words and expressions have been shortened considerably, turning three- or four-syllable words into two-syllable ones.

It is important to notice that Australian slang exists primarily because Australians take the English language as a game to play, and they love to have fun with words.

Here are some of those everyday words and their shortened Aussie versions for you to use to sound more Australian, but more importantly, to understand natives when you talk to them! Use them whenever you can, and enjoy the language!

  • Breakfast – Brekkie
  • Afternoon – Arvo
  • Australian – Aussie (pronounced ‘Ozzie’)
  • Australia – Oz, as in Oz-tralia.
  • Barbecue (BBQ) – Barbie
  • Bring Your Own (meat and drinks) – BYO
  • Aggressive – Aggro
  • Motorcyclists – Bikies
  • Chicken – Chook
  • Delicatessen – Deli
  • Eskimo box – Esky (Large insulated box for keeping beer etc. cold)
  • Garbage collector – Garbo
  • Journalist – Journo
  • Mosquitoes – Mozzies
  • Poker machine – Pokies (Slot machine or fruit machine with playing card pips. Found in clubs or casinos)
  • Postman – Postie
  • Registration (car registration) – Rego
  • KangarooRoo
  • Member of the Salvation Army – Salvo
  • Day off work pretending to be sick - Sickie
  • Coffee or cigarette break – Smoko
  • Sausage – Snag
  • The television – Telly
  • Thing - Thingo
  • Truck driver – Trucky
  • University – Uni
  • Utility truck or vehicle – Ute
  • Cold beer – Coldie
  • Petrol Station – Servo
  • Present – Prezzy

Postcards from… Byron!!

January 18, 2010 · Leave a Comment

At lunch time today I caught up with Jane who finished studying with us here a little while ago. I asked Jane about what she was doing now that she isn’t studying with us here anymore…

Hi Jane, for those of us who don’t know you could you please tell us a little bit about yourself and where you are from…

Hi I’m Jane. I’m from South Korea and before I came here I was studying Biology. I think that when I go home I will get a job as a scientist researcher.  I need to do my Phd first!! Which I’m a little worried about, so I’m really trying to make the best of my time here

What did you do back at home and what made you decide to come to Australia?

I came to Australia at the end of October, I had heard great things about Byron and I really wanted to live in a peaceful friendly place.. which Byron is.

How long did you study at GV for Byron and what did you think about it?

I studied here for 8 weeks which was great fun.. as you can see I didn’t want to leave, which is why I come back here every lunch time, to keep practicing my English and see all my friends.

What are you doing now that you have finished studying with us?

I’m on holiday!! Lucky me!  My life is nice at the moment, I wake up, come and visit the school, go to the beach, walk around the city and sometimes in the evenings..I go to the pub!

I was really lucky as I made friends from people around the world. Whilst I was at the school, and so I have lots of people to visit!

If I can I will stay until May. I would like to stay until May because here, I have a perfect life.  It is a wonderful place to improve my English, as there are so many people from other countries. It is really peaceful here and I love Byron so I really want to stay… and maybe I can see a whale!

Thanks Jane.

Our number one Mexican!

January 14, 2010 · Leave a Comment

This afternoon I caught up with Lillian, who is the first student we have had from Mexico, about her life and experience here at GV Byron Bay.

Please tell us a little bit about yourself and where you are from…

My name is Lillian and I’m from Mexico city, Mexico.

What did you do back at home and what made you decide to come to Australia?

At home I was an Event planner and set up weddings and exhibitions. I came to Australia primarily to learn English, as I really need to speak excellent English in my work. I also wanted to see if I could do a certificate or diploma in my field or perhaps in marketing, here in Australia and I thought the best way to find out about this was to be here.

I especially wanted to come to Byron Bay, as it’s a really famous place; my agents told me that Byron is a wonderful place to study. I thought it was a really good idea to come to a relaxing, quiet place to wind down after working so hard in Mexico.. and it’s been perfect!

How long have you been at GV Byron and what are you studying?

I am in the Intermediate general English class, and have been here for 6 weeks.

What do you plan to do when you have completed your studies with us?

First, I’m going to Sydney to look for a job in my field. I really hope I will be successful. But if I can’t find the job I want I will travel around Australia and then go home!

What has been the single best moment that you have experienced since you joined GV Byron?

My favorite experience here has been about the way we learn and get taught. By this I mean, the way that the teachers teach here is very good. I really like the structure of the course. I really like working in groups and all of us trying together to understand and use the language fluently. The activities have also been fun. The school itself is great for example; the student lounge is fun, and it’s a good place to chill out. The classrooms are all new and that makes for a good environment to study in. I also have had fun meeting people from all round the world!! Ha.. it looks like there are lots of things I like !

What is your favourite place in Byron?

The beach of course!!! Clarks beach is beautiful, the ocean and waves are amazing. The colour of the water is incredible. I’m still trying to see dolphins, but I think I need to wake up earlier!!!

Is there anything you’d like to add??

I have to say that life here has been really nice. I love the sounds of nature here, and it’s really helped me reflect on my life and make decisions about my future and the direction that I want to take my life. I was here for New Years Eve which was really special, we were we were on the beach, it was really quiet and the sky was beautiful, and I really had a magic moment  thinking about my life. The shops and the shop assistants have been fun too! It’s all really different from Mexico….

Beaches at Byron Bay

December 23, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Planning on getting some surf time in over the Christmas break?  Here’s a quick guide to some of the well-known and not-so-well-known beaches around Byron.
Byron Bay's Beaches

Byron Bay's Beaches

Byron Bay’s beaches are among some of the best in Australia.  There are approximately 30 km of beaches stretching from Broken Head in the South to Brunswick Heads in the North. The beaches are clean and uncrowded (though you’ll see more people than usual on the more popular beaches at this time of year!).

The best part about beaches here is that no matter where the wind is coming from, there are still opportunities to get out on the water.  This is because the headlands and coast shape makes surfing with offshore winds possible every day.

Tallow Beach is a long sweeping beach with cosy corner on the Northern end and Broken Head in the South. This is a great place to find your own stretch of beach. Also popular with fisherman, surfers and dolphins.

Broken Head is a beautiful beach protected by a rainforest headland and a series of rocky headlands. It’s a nice quiet place to relax with great waves with the right swell conditions.

Cosy Corner offers protection from the Northerlies. Facing East, it is also open to catching the biggest of swells.

Wategos is a very picturesque North facing beach popular with Malibu surfers. It is very protected and a great beach for learning how to surf. Its also an ideal place for a barbeque after a refreshing swim or surf. People like Tom Cruise, Richard Branson and Mick Jagger have holidayed here.

The Pass is one of Byron Bay’s more famous surf spots. On a good day, rides of three hundred metres are common. The view from the Pass lookout is sensational and a great place to watch the surfing action.  Don’t forget to take a good camera for action shots.

Clarkes Beach is also well protected – it is an ideal place to learn to surf and good for swimming and relaxing. The snorkeling can also be good here at times.

Main Beach is right in town and very popular with all nationalities because it is so close to everything, including a quick  beer, ice cream or coffee. Byron’s main beach is patrolled  by surf lifesavers through the summer months. It is a great place to get a tan and watch the backpackers at play.

You can check out current surf conditions are all beaches on this Surf Cam

Do you have a favourite beach?  Let us know!

Postcards from….. Byron!!

December 18, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Much to our surprise and delight Olivia came back to visit us today. We were all a bit confused as we had said farewell to her last week wishing her luck for the start of her journey around Australia, but it seems that she just missed us and Byron Bay too much!!

How nice to see you again. Can you tell us what you have been doing since you left?

I left three days ago, I went to Brisbane, and had plans to go to the Whitsundays, but I missed Byron and the friends I had made in school so much that I decided to come back so that we can all spend Christmas and my birthday here together.

Please tell us a little bit about yourself and where you are from…

I am Olivia, from the east part of Switzerland, from a tiny mountainous village which has a population of just over a 1000.

What did you do back at home and what made you decide to come to Australia?

Well, at home I am an electrician, which I really like. I came to Australia, because I really wanted to see Byron Bay. I researched Byron a lot on the internet, and when I read about GV in Byron I really liked the idea of a nice school, with a family feel to it.  I also don’t like big cities very much, and Byron has proven to be perfect, as it’s small, friendly and beautiful.

What has been the single best moment that you have experienced since you joined GV Byron?

I met lots of friends from different countries. I liked the time at school, my English improved lots!  I also liked the activities and games that we played in class and outside.

What is your favourite place in Byron?

Tallows beach, near my homestay has to be my pick! I love the sunsets – it’s really nice as there aren’t many people there, it’s not busy like the main beach is.

Thanks Olivia. Really nice that you came in and saw us. We wish you the best birthday and Christmas, here in Byron!!

Patty’s Study Tips – Keep a Study Journal

December 17, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Patty, the Academic Director for GV Caloundra, has passed on some great study tips to help you get the most out of your time whilst at Global Village.

Patty, the Academic Director for GV Caloundra

Learning a second language can be fun and easy for some but difficult for others. For most of us it doesn’t happen over night and it takes lots of practice.

We all learn differently and have preferred ways of studying but one thing that would really help you improve your English is to keep a study journal. It’s an easy way to monitor your progress. It allows you to assess what works and doesn’t work for you and it makes you take responsibility for your learning.

I am sure you have your own ideas about how you like to study and the types of activities you enjoy doing and don’t enjoy doing.

It is important, however, to think about whether or not you have been successful doing these activities or if you should try something new, if you should use different strategies to help you reach your goal. If you are serious about trying to improve in a particular area you should set an achievable goal and then think about how you are going to do it.

If improving your listening is your goal then think about which area of ‘listening’ you are weakest in.  Do you need to improve; listening for specific information or general ideas? Once you have decided there are many different types of exercises you could do.

(There are even lessons and questions provided if you are interested. This website would probably suit Pre-Intermediate to Intermediate students.)

  • For something a little more challenging you can access the following website for IELTS – listening exercises http://www.ielts-exam.net

(This would be suitable for Intermediate to Advanced students.)

  • Of course, there are fun ways to improve your listening like watching movies, DVDs, (but without subtitles because the purpose is to improve your listening not your reading) and downloading lyrics to popular songs and creating your own gap-fill exercises.

You can use the template below as a starting point. It can be as detailed as you choose it to be.

Remember we are here to help so ask your teacher for some advice!

IELTS Test Tips with Justin

December 4, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Justin, the Director of Studies at GV Byron Bay, has passed on some knowledge for the IELTS exam preparation. Here is some handy information about the speaking component of the exam.

Justin, GV Byron Bay's Director of Studies

IELTS test tips.

IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, is an upper-intermediate test of English communication. It can be used for University entry and emigration/ immigration around the English-speaking world and beyond. It measures your ability to communicate across the four language skills – reading, writing, listening and speaking through authentic and challenging tasks. With over 700,000 people taking this test annually, it is one of the fastest growing English tests in the world, trusted and accepted by over 4,000 organisations and faculties worldwide.

IELTS speaking: Phrasal verbs.

A phrasal verb is the combination of a basic verb and a preposition. When a basic verb and a preposition are put together and the meaning of the verb changes, we call that a phrasal verb.  To sound more natural and fluent when you speak English, it is a great idea to try to learn and use them.

Have a look at this example:

Pick = to choose

Up = the direction of moving vertical

Pick up = to get someone or something from a location

Notice how the meanings of “Pick” and “Up” are changed when they are put together.

How to practise for the Speaking test:

Recording different topics.

When you are studying a topic in English, try and learn all the phrasal verbs that go with it. We have lots of worksheets that we can give you in GIL, so please feel free to use them or ask your GIL teacher for some more.

A good way to study for the speaking test is to make a list of them. For example, if you are learning about crime, make a note of:

To beat someone up.

To get away with a crime

To make off with some cash

To break into a shop.

To get away with cheating

To hold up* a bank.

To tip off* the police.

Grammar point.

*These phrasal verbs can be separated. You can say:

He held up the bank.

He held the bank up.

He held it up.

But not: He held up it.

We hope this helps, and if you are interested in doing an IELTS course please come and speak to the Director of Studies at any time.

Maddy from our FCE class

December 4, 2009 · Leave a Comment

As today was the last day of our FCE class I caught up with Maddy to chat about her time here…

Please tell us a little bit about yourself and where you are from…

My name is Maddy, and I’m from Columbia, Bogata which is the capital of my country.

What did you do back at home and what made you decide to come to Australia?

I was studying at the University in Colombia as well as working for an airline company as a programme developer. I decided to come to Australia as it has been my dream for a long time ago to come here. I have always dreamed of seeing the wild animals, such as Koalas and Kangaroos as they are so different from what we have at home. I also wanted to see some of the beautiful beaches and the handsome surfers!!

How long have you been at GV Byron and what are you studying?

I have been studying here for three months and have two months to go. I am studying the FCE at the moment which finishes on Friday and then I will be joining the IELTS class.

What do you plan to do when you have completed your studies with us?

Well firstly, I hope I pass the IELTS exam and then I really want to find a job in Australia. I have also been lucky enough to meet the love of my life here and we are going to get married in a few months time which I am really excited about.

What has been the single best moment that you have experienced since you joined GV Byron?

I think my teachers are really great people and really kind and it has been a very open and caring environment. I have learnt not only formal language here, but have also been taught lots about Australian culture and slang, and I have really liked that. My classmates have been really fun too and it has been nice to meet people from all round the world.

What is your favourite place in Byron?

Wow! That’s really difficult. The Pass is really beautiful and you can see lots of surfers, not only that, but  from the top of the hill there is an amazing view. There is a really fun BBQ place there as well, where people from all over the world can meet.

Thanks Maddy! We wish you all the best for your upcoming wedding and life in Australia.

Martina from the CAE class!

December 1, 2009 · Leave a Comment

The last week for our Cambridge courses has arrived and I caught up with Martina to reflect on her time here in Byron.

Please tell us a little bit about yourself and where you are from…

My name is Martina and I’m from the Swiss mountains.

What did you do back at home and what made you decide to come to Australia?

I have just recently completed my Bachelor in Education (Primary). Just before I came to Byron I was waitressing in a café in my village in order to save up money to come here. I wanted to come to Byron because I had heard a lot of good things from friends of mine who had come here previously.

How long have you been at GV Byron and what are you studying?

I have been here for three months and am studying the Cambridge Advanced English Exam preparation course.

What do you plan to do when you have completed your studies with us?

First I party! Then I will do the best I can to enjoy my last week here in beautiful Byron Bay. Sadly, after that, I have to return to Switzerland as I have a job waiting for me. I will be sad to leave but I’m looking forward to being able to snowboard again.

What has been the single best moment that you have experienced since you joined GV Byron?

There has been no “single best moment” I have to say. There have been lots of different and special moments which I am that I will remember for the rest of my life. I have made lots of friends with people from all over the world. The staff have been really supportive and friendly, the activities have been fun,  and I have also improved my English and am confident (although nervous) that I am ready for my test.

What is your favourite place in Byron?

The school during the day, going to the beautiful beaches around Byron and of course.. THE RAILS.

Is there anything you’d like to add??

I’ve really had a great time, and I’m going to miss Byron and you guys very much.

Exam week!!

November 30, 2009 · Leave a Comment

This is the final week for our CAE and FCE exam preparation students. You’ve all done so well and worked so hard and we are all impressed with you.

A few quick tips for the last days!

1) Keep on working hard until the day before the exam, and then give yourself time to relax and to remember all the things you’ve learnt.

2) Don’t revise right up until the last moment. Get some sleep, relax and try and put yourself in a good mood.

3) Arrive fresh and ready for the exam. The more relaxed and confident you are the better your chances at getting the grade you have worked hard for.

And finally, a huge GOOD LUCK from all the team here at GV Byron Bay. We’re all rooting for you!

GV People. Daniel.

November 26, 2009 · Leave a Comment

This week I caught up with Daniel to have a quick chat about life here in Byron.

How long have you been teaching at GV Byron Bay and what did you do before you worked here?

I started working here just under three months ago teaching the Cambridge Advanced English Exam preparation course. Previously to this I was in Taiwan teaching EAP and IELTS preparation courses.

Do you speak another language and what was your biggest challenge when learning it?

Yes, I speak Chinese (Mandarin).

The biggest challenge I have with learning Chinese now that I’m at an Upper Intermediate level is finding time to be consistent in my approach to learning the language.  Normal life seems to take over at points and I sometimes I find that this affects my study patterns!

Which class are you teaching at the moment?

I’m teaching the Cambridge Advanced English exam preparation course.

Please tell us about a student in your class who you feel has made outstanding progress…

This is really hard to say. I have an immense amount of respect for all of my students. They have obviously worked extremely hard to reach the level that they are at now and they have all put in a lot of effort during what is an intensive course. I have been particularly impressed with Urs, especially in regard to his writing. He obviously spends a lot of time thinking about his errors, and trying to correct them, which is the best thing a student can do. But honestly, every single member in the class deserves credit for working so hard and diligently. They’ve been a wonderful bunch and I know that we will all keep in touch.

What do you most enjoy about teaching at GV Byron Bay?

Most…?! Well… The atmosphere here is brilliant. It’s a really friendly personalized school, everyone knows each other well and it’s very caring. I also like the set up of the day, with classes in the morning and then the hour after lunch of taught class with G.I.L. for the final hour.  I like the idea that the students have an hour a day where they can come and ask language issues about the problems that they are having. I think that this is a really helpful and constructive process.

The whole school is really well-organized as well, and there is  great support from the whole team.. so hard to say which one I enjoy the most!!

If you weren’t a teacher, what job do you think you would be doing now?

I guess I’d be a writer or an academic, or alternatively I like the idea of working outdoors.

What do you like most about living in Byron Bay?

Everything in Byron is within easy access, and of course, like everyone, I love the natural environment.

What is your favourite café, restaurant, shop or place in Byron Bay?

(Laughing…) Well, as I guess some of you know.. The Rails!

Listening with Mariana

November 26, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Mariana, the Director of Studies at GV Brisbane, has put together some valuable information to help students to understand Australians when they speak.

Mariana, GV Brisbane's Director of Studies

Tips to Understand Australians

We know that the Australian accent is slightly different from the one you are probably used to, either American or British English. As soon as non-English speakers arrive in Australia, they notice a difference in pronunciation, vocabulary that is used and expressions.

Here, at Global Village Brisbane, we want you to feel comfortable with the Australian culture, lifestyle and traditions, so every week we’ll post some tips for you to improve your understanding of the Australian world. There will be notes on Aussie slang, expressions, pronunciation, and many more things!

Today, we’ll work on three sounds that are specific to the Aussie accent.

The first one is the diphthong (two vowel sounds) that you can find in the words mind, time, find, which is not /ai/, pronounced at the front of your mouth, but /ai/, pronounced at the back. Click below to hear the British pronunciation of mind, time and find:

Compare it to the Australian pronunciation of mind, time and find to notice the difference.

The other diphthong that changes significantly is the one you can find in words like mate, main, pay, make. Australians don’t pronounce /ei/ as British people do. Australians will say /ai/. So the traditional greeting in Australia “G’day mate!” will be pronounced /gdai mait/ and not /gdei meit/ as a British person would say.

Click below to hear the British pronunciation of the words mate, main, pay, and make:

and compare it to the Australian pronunciation of the words mate, main, pay, and make to notice the difference.

The last pronunciation tip for today is called “intrusive R”. Australians tend to link words with an inexistent R. This only happens if a word finishes in a vowel and the following word starts in a vowel also. For example, in the phrase

“Australia and New Zealand”,

vowel a followed by vowel a

Aussies would say “Australia_r_and New Zealand”. Click below to hear the Australian pronunciation of the “Australia and New Zealand

and below here to listen to the British pronunciation of the “Australia and New Zealand to notice the difference.

The “r” that is added is very soft, and it means nothing at all. It’s just pronounced to link the words together.

We hope these tips will help you to sound Australian, and to understand Aussies better when you talk to them in the street!

Have a good day!

GV people – Ginny.

November 17, 2009 · Leave a Comment

This morning I spoke to our brilliant teacher Ginny about teaching at GV and Byron Bay.

How long have you been teaching at GV Byron Bay and what did you do before you worked here?

I’ve been working here at GV Byron Bay for the last ten weeks. Before that I worked at the Southern Cross University teaching IELTS for the last 9 years.

Do you speak another language and what was your biggest challenge when learning it?

I speak a little French (badly!). I really enjoy learning another language and find it really useful when helping my students come to terms with English as I can put myself in their position. I find French grammar really hard, and I seem to always confuse the masculine and feminine forms… which leads to some funny moments!

Which class are you teaching at the moment?

I’m teaching the Cambridge First Certificate Course. I really enjoy it and my class is such a pleasure to teach. It’s a great environment here, and with the small classes I have had the chance to really help develop the students’ language which has been a real bonus.

Please tell us about a student in your class who you feel has made outstanding progress…

That’s a hard one. They are all such lovely people and are all trying so hard. If I was to pick one, I guess I’d have to say Carla. Carla has improved significantly over the past few weeks. She has worked really hard to improve her vocabulary and reading skills and it has been exciting to be on journey with her as she really comes to terms with the language.

What do you most enjoy about teaching at GV Byron Bay?

That’s easy. My fantastic class and the great teachers I work with.

If you weren’t a teacher, what job do you think you would be doing now?

Hmmm.. well.. I have always wanted to be a singer!

What do you like most about living in Byron Bay?

Byron Bay is famous for its beautiful natural environment and I love it here for that. One of my favourite things in the world is walking on the beach in the mornings and evenings. It’s so beautiful.

What is your favourite café, restaurant, shop or place in Byron ?

My favourite café/ restaurant has to easily be the Red Hot and Green. The food is simply divine. My favourite place is Brays Beach which is gorgeous.
